Tangy Sweet and Spicy Mammea Apple Salad

Sour vinegar meets exotic fruit! It is the perfect balance of sweet and spicy without having to add any sweetener. The chili crisp, cayenne complete this killer combination. Sweet, Heat, Acid, Salt = heavenly. This salad could be made with any fruit! Preferable a fruit that has a decent crunch to it. A peach would be phenomenal, even an apple, star fruit,  a pear.... whatever you please.

Recipe:

2 cups chopped fruit of choice

3 tbs of vinegar (any of our fruit vinegars will do well here!)

1/2 tsb cayenne

2 tbs chili crisp  *(recipe to come : ))

~1/2 tsp salt (or to taste)

Place the fruit in a bowl or a deep plate, pour the vinegar over top then sprinkle then evenly sprinkle the salt, cayenne and chili crisp over top and enjoy!

The fruit can be served room temp or cold. The chili crisp could be replaced with chili paste if you don't have crisp. Or you could just chop up some fresh chilis and garlic! Anything goes. The heat component is really a nice touch.
