Lemongrass Rose Sambal

This coconut rose sambal is inspired by our recent travels to Bali and a rose bush blooming in our garden. A lot of creativity in the kitchen really stems from experience and ingredients available, creation truly is mysterious. 

1 cup shredded coconut

1 garden rose cut with scissors 

1 stalk of lemongrass

2 tbs Rose vinegar (or any of our other fruit vinegars will do!)

1/2 tsp crushed black pepper

1/2 tsp salt 

This sambal can be eaten with anything! Treat it as condiment to compliment any meal. Maybe even top it over a salad or a rice bowl. We ate ours along side steamed chicken.
