Welcome to our fruit salad series!! First up we have a semi-ripe papaya salad. The beauty of using a frim papaya that is starting to ripen is that its natural sugars are starting to come through, thus not needing any sweetener in your salad dressing!
Ingredients:
2 Firm Ripening Papayas
1/4 cup Mint
4 tbs Pizza Chili Vinegar (you could also substitute plain fruit vinegar and add chili flakes on top!)
2 tbs Chili Oil
2 tbs Soy Sauce
2 tbs Rose Petals (optional)
1. Peel the papaya using a standard veggie peeler
2. Remove the seeds
3. Chop into small squared
4. Put the papaya in a serving bowl and top it with the mint and the rose petals (any herbs will work here!)
5. Pour the soy sauce, then vinegar, then chili oil over top
