Vinegar and molasses are a match made in heaven! They are even t first two ingredients in worcestershire sauce, but imagine delicious Tamarind vinegar instead of harsh white distilled vinegar?! Worcestershire contains tamarind extract, making this an incredible twist.. Try this combo for a rich and bold BBQ/steak sauce.
In Japan, they mix worcestershire sauce with ketchup for their BBQ sauce, so let's recreate it!
Japanese Style BBQ Sauce:
2/3 cup Tamarind vinegar (or any other fruit vinegar)
2 tbs molasses
3 tbs ketchup
1/2 tbs salt
*take it a step further and add some spices (or use one of our star anise, peppercorn, or other spiced vinegars)
