🌸 Overview

Surely you all remember the lemon juice in your hair hack!? Maybe you haven't tried it in decades, but it most certainly still works.

Think of you hair like a house plant, you cant leave it a corner inside with no sun, it might survive but it wont thrive. You don't spray chemicals on it, it will die. You water it and most importantly, you give it sun!

We personally LOVE our blonde highlights because its a sign that we've been living a healthy happy lifestyle -- AKA -- we have been outside in nature! We might as well maximize and spray little lemon juice in there for an extra blonding effect. And typically, lemon juice on its own will make your hair a bit dry, but the acetic acid in the vinegar will lock back in moisture and when you rinse it -- silky smooooth!

OKAY but lets not just stop at using this spray for our hair. What if you are out at the beach and you wanna spray it on fresh fruit?! Or maybe a spritz into your water.

We can even take this a step further and use it as a facial toner to lighten dark spots. BUT warning, do not do this before you go in the sun, this is better suited for night use. Lemon on your skin in the sun will cause blistering so just keep that in mind. If you do get it on your skin before you go out in the sun, just rinse it off. But if you want to intentionally use it as a facial toner, spritz it on and then massage, let it sit for a minute or so then rinse with a cotton cloth.

🌺 Story Behind the Batch

We started brewing vinegar for the culinary aspect but ended up unlocking a creative potential well beyond the kitchen! Vinegar is literally good for everything so naturally we have been exploring the fringes. You guys love our hair and beauty vinegars so much that we thought to make a batch of lemon vinegar specifically for blonding your hair... and its up for debates whose idea it was lol, he thinks it was his and I think it was mine!!! We will call it both of our idea :)

We have a prolific lemon tree and make lemon vinegar every season. In the past we've done lemon rosemary (come to think of it that would have been perfect for hair), lemon herb, lemon allspice, lemon turmeric... oh the list goes on. This year we will most definitely be making culinary lemon vinegar but also dedicated batches just for hair! It takes 4 months to brew and I just simply could not wait that long to see this product come to fruition so I went ahead and used a mango vinegar and infused it with fresh lemons just so we can start using it right away! Stay tuned for the future because we will have a lemon blonde spray that was actually made from fermented lemons and not mangoes.

Okay... so here is the issue with hair vinegar... all our vinegar is just too tasty these days to put in your hair! I would love to make a new batch of the hair rinse but Im down to his fancy cinnamon cacaos, durians, akala berries, etc... so transitioning towards brewing specifically for using in your hair is a big step towards making sure we can always provide vinegar beauty products. We were not expecting this but we love it and you guys love so we are excited to dive deeper into these products. I mean.... think about all the hair and skin infusions we can make?!?!  We've only scratched the surface.

🌿 Health Benefits

  • Rich in vitamin C and antioxidants — lemon and mango provide natural acids and flavonoids that help protect hair and scalp from oxidative stress, supporting stronger, shinier strands.
  • Supports hair brightening and lightening — the natural acids in lemon gently lift pigment on blond or light-colored hair, enhancing sun-kissed highlights and natural shine.
  • Strengthens and smooths hair — the gentle acids help smooth the hair cuticle, reducing frizz and giving hair a silkier, more manageable texture.
  • Balances scalp pH — lemon’s natural acidity can help maintain a healthy scalp environment, discouraging excess oiliness or buildup, and promoting a cleaner, fresher feel.
  • Promotes scalp circulation — mango nutrients and massaging in the vinegar as a rinse may stimulate blood flow to hair follicles, supporting healthy growth.
  • Moisturizes and nourishes — combined with water or in a spritz, it helps maintain hair hydration without heavy oils, leaving strands light and vibrant.
  • Promotes healthy digestion — fruit acids awaken digestive enzymes, helping break down food efficiently and supporting nutrient absorption for stronger hair.
  • Contains live acetic acid bacteria — raw, unpasteurized, and full of living cultures, it delivers probiotic activity that supports gut and metabolic health, which indirectly benefits hair vitality.
  • Multi-use as a culinary spritz — adds bright acidity and tropical sweetness to salads, grilled fruits, seafood, or sparkling water, elevating dishes with living flavor.
  • Natural skin toner — the gentle acids help exfoliate and refresh the skin, promoting a brighter, more even complexion.
  • Mood-lifting and refreshing — the sunny aroma of mango and zesty lemon gently uplifts the senses, promoting clarity and vitality.
  • A daily tonic for radiance — versatile for internal use, hair spritz, skin refresh, or culinary enhancement, restoring harmony and promoting beauty from within.

Caution: If you have ever gotten lemon juice on your skin in the sun, it's not a good combo so make sure you only spray your hair or your food... that is unless you want to use it as a face toner at night  to brighten and lighten dark spots :) just dont go in sun with it on you skin!
